Lu Wang

Student-At-Law

Lu is a long-term Albertan who was born and raised in mainland China. He is a Student-At-Law at Lypkie Henderson, where he is dedicated to learning and gaining experience in all areas of law offered by the firm.

Lu’s educational journey began with undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Finance at the University of Alberta. More recently, he earned a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Saskatchewan. Throughout his law school years, Lu balanced a summer position at Lypkie Henderson, engaged in part-time legal research for university, and actively participated in the Jessup International Law moot competition.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Lu volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, held the role of Student Advisory Committee Member at the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, and served as a mentor in dispute resolution for first-year law students.

Prior to attending law school, Lu acquired valuable work experience by collaborating with a wide array of industries, such as lumber mills, wholesale distributors, shipping companies, realtors, condominium boards, auditors, engineers, maintenance contractors, and many others.

During his free time, Lu spends most of his time with his young children and regularly goes to the gym.
